What are your favorites?

There are two words I love above all others: rime and nacre.
My least favorite word: rag.
What words do you adore and despise?
For a fun list of some you may not have heard of, see this BBC article. I didn't know that the smell of rain was called petrichor. Lovely, isn't it?

I'm going to go with "swish" as my favorite, and "moist" as my least favorite. Although "sucks" is pretty fun to say too.

Have a great weekend!

I despise the word: sore. Always have-- can't say it without a vision of a festering sore in my mind, no me gusta.
I like: pouf, fluffy and peeps. I like to use the word "y'all" it is useful and saves energy.

Good calls on pouf and river! And doily is a pretty stupid word but it--like sucks--is rather fun to say!

Puss and seepage are among my least favorites with glorious and primeval coming to mind as words I love. I guess my daughter's hate of "sore" may come from my detesting "puss", who knows? Pouf is a great one, fun to say, and I imagine something soft and fluffy silently exploding into a million beautiful particles.

Ah, come on! Don't disrespect the great word "pus" by putting an extra "s" on it! It's one of my faves!

Oh yeah "pus", as opposed to "Puss"(in Boots)! My spelling ability has lessened greatly since I stopped teaching eight years ago. How can you like that word? And "Phlegm" is another one I suppose you like!

Hilarious is my favorite word. Funnily enough, I just blogged about this!

I like serendipity and authentic.
Pouf is fun to say unless you are using it to describe your 401(k)...
