Open Letter to the Universe

Dear Universe,
This year I'd really like to go to the Maya ruins of Tikal, with a stopover on Roatan Island, Honduras to play with the dolphins. Please make it so. Gratefully yours, Christy

Where do you want to go?

I'll choose the island of Ibiza, Spain please.

I've wanted to go to Iceland since I saw a Bjork video when I was in high school. So beautiful and unspoiled. I actually looked at the brochure today!

Ooh, Little Ms J, this is the year! Good omen that you looked at that brochure tonight on a new moon, solar eclipse, and Chinese New Year's Eve! Done deal!

By the way, the funniest travel article I've ever read was about Iceland. It's pee-your-pants funny:

Duh, if you sell Bill Gates' comb on eBay some dummy will pay you more than enough to go on this trip and take the entire family...

They might get to clone Bill while they are at it!!! hahahahahahahahaha

Greece. Please.

I would go to Bora Bora Tahiti in a heartbeat. The Mediterraenean (I'm sure I didn't spell that right), New Zealand, and Sweden (or Iceland if you're paying Ms. J).

So looking at a brochure and it's a done deal huh?

*gets in her car to find five brochures*

Well, not to get too woo-woo, but yeah, it's a good night to fall asleep with the year's goals/desires in mind (and a travel brochure under the pillow!). Tonight and tomorrow night the veil is thin, as they say...

Cathy Gersich said...

really? I'm totally going to put a bunch of Greece stuff under my pillow. I hope I sleep okay.

Hmm, Barb, tempting idea about the comb on ebay. I wonder if that's legal?

Mediterranean Cruise all the way into Turkey. Leave baggage on ship and explore on my own with backpack every day. Can I get in on the comb thing?

Maybe you could call it "research" and write it off on your schedule C? :) One of my WIP is set on the island of Martininque (1902 eruption of Mt. Pelee)... I'd love to go check out the volcano and the jail and museum and stuff.

Vietnam, Tanzania and Egypt

Shelli - I suspect you will have a large plantation in Agentland, abutting Editorville any day now. :)

Irene, I racked up some serious Tax write offs last year when I went to the ruins of Palenque and Bonompak, and the year before going to Chichen Itza, Coba, and Tulum! I'm not sure, but I think I'm going to get a spanking from out tax accountant on Wednesday...

Mom - I'll go on that cruise with you!

Tonya, two out of three of those shock me! Really?

I'm going to Paris and Berlin. I've already been, but les boys and les crepes, how can you turn them down.

Dream vacation. India. And something really remote like Easter Island to see how it all went down.

Tasmania. Antarctica.

I just read the article! I laughed out loud at the woman who eats her babies and the love of a good elf! Thanks for sharing. I only hope that I have such interesting experiences when I get there!
